Editorial Policy
What We Publish
Brightcast publishes verified, solution-focused news stories that highlight human progress, scientific breakthroughs, community achievements, and positive developments across the world. We cover topics including health, environment, innovation, education, community, and business.
We do not create original reporting. Brightcast is a news aggregation and curation platform that selects, verifies, and presents stories from trusted publishers. Every article on Brightcast originates from a credible third-party source.
How We Curate: The Brightcast Intelligence Score (BIS)
Our curation process is powered by the Brightcast Intelligence Score (BIS), a proprietary AI-driven scoring system that evaluates every candidate article across multiple dimensions:
- Positivity & constructiveness: Does the story highlight solutions, progress, or positive outcomes?
- Verification & credibility: Does the story come from a reputable source with verifiable claims?
- Reach & relevance: Is the story significant enough to inform and inspire a broad audience?
- Originality: Does the story offer fresh information rather than recycled content?
Only articles that exceed our quality threshold are published. Our system processes thousands of articles daily, selecting only those that meet our standards for accuracy, positivity, and editorial quality.
AI Enhancement Process
Brightcast uses artificial intelligence to assist with content curation and presentation. Our AI systems:
- Score and rank articles based on our BIS criteria
- Generate headlines that accurately reflect article content while emphasizing the constructive angle
- Create summaries to help readers quickly understand each story
- Categorize content by topic for easier discovery
AI-generated text is always based on the original source material. We do not fabricate facts, quotes, or claims. The original source article is always linked and attributed so readers can verify information independently.
Source Attribution
Every article on Brightcast clearly credits its original source. Attribution includes:
- The name of the original publisher, displayed prominently on every article
- A direct hyperlink to the original article so readers can access the full source
- Publication date from the original source
- Author information where available from the source
We believe in directing readers to original journalism. Source attribution is not optional—it is a core part of every article we publish.
Our Sources
We aggregate content from a curated list of reputable news organizations and publishers known for quality journalism. Sources include established news agencies, specialist publications, verified independent outlets, and institutional press releases. We continuously evaluate source quality and remove any that fail to maintain editorial standards.
Corrections Policy
We are committed to accuracy. If an article on Brightcast contains an error—whether in our summary, headline, or categorization—we will correct it promptly.
- If the original source issues a correction or retraction, we update or remove the article accordingly
- If our AI-generated summary or headline misrepresents the source, we correct it as soon as we become aware
- Significant corrections are noted on the article

Independence & Advertising
Brightcast operates independently. Our editorial curation is not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or commercial interests. The BIS scoring system is purely algorithmic and cannot be paid to rank or feature specific content.
