Imagine showing up for a meeting, not knowing why, and then someone hands you cash to pay off your student loans. That's exactly what happened to nurses at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania. An anonymous patient just dropped a cool $1 million to help clear their debt.
This patient felt so well cared for, they decided to give back in a seriously big way. And get this: it wasn't a one-off. Other hospitals in the Main Line Health system also got a surprise. Lankenau Medical Center snagged another $1 million, and Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital split $250,000.

Nurses like Aliyah Hall, who's been on the job for four years, were totally stunned. She told WPVI she had no clue why she was even called in. Talk about a wild reveal.

Start Your News DetoxFor Matt Roberts, a nurse whose own family was saved by the hospital, this hits different. He said the donation means he can finally cut back on overtime and spend more time with his daughter. That's pretty huge.
In total, 173 nurses at Bryn Mawr applied for a grant, each eligible for up to $3,600. It's a direct thank you, letting them know their hard work really matters. Cinda Johnson from the Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation shared that the donor is getting immense joy from this. Seriously cool to see generosity come full circle.
