Most kids, when faced with a monster under the bed, do the only logical thing: wake up their parents with a bloodcurdling scream. Not Nico. When this particular menace appeared under his brother's bed, Nico, a young man of action, went straight to the authorities. Specifically, 9-1-1.
Because apparently, that's where we are now: direct-to-police monster intervention. The responding officer, likely expecting something a little more urgent than a furry, big-toothed threat, arrived to find Nico at the door, fully kitted out. When asked if he needed the entire S.W.A.T. team, Nico, ever the pragmatist, declined. The officer, clearly a man of culture, then revealed his own S.W.A.T. affiliation, sealing their partnership. The monster, Nico explained, had "big teeth," "black fur," and made "scratching sounds." A truly terrifying trifecta.

What he retrieved was, in fact, a mask — complete with glowing red eyes and a growl function. Because of course it did. He offered to "get rid of" the menace, praised Nico for his quick thinking, but gently suggested his parents might be a good first port of call next time.
Before leaving, the officer returned with an actual "S.W.A.T. team challenge medal," officially inducting Nico into the elite force. Nico, now an honorary member, promised to finally get some sleep. All of this, by the way, happened without his parents ever stirring. Which, if you think about it, is perhaps the most impressive feat of the entire operation.
