The Greek Royal Family has just announced the arrival of a brand new prince, Kimon Thomas Konstantinos, born to Prince Philippos De Grèce and Princess Nina. Because even royals need a little help sometimes, Kimon arrived via gestational carrier on July 27, 2026.
The official announcement dropped on September 3, 2026, giving the new parents a few weeks to enjoy the newborn bubble before sharing the news with the world. Apparently, even princes need their beauty sleep.
Princess Nina and Prince Philippos made sure to express their "deep gratitude" to their surrogate and her family, along with the medical team who helped bring little Kimon into the world. It’s a refreshingly modern approach to royal lineage, proving that love and family come in many forms.

For those who like their royal events with extra pomp and circumstance, Prince Philippos and Princess Nina are no strangers to a good celebration. They first tied the knot in a more intimate ceremony in December 2020, because, well, 2020.
But they weren't going to let a little global situation stop them from a proper royal bash. They followed up with a much grander affair in June 2021, drawing in a who's who of European royalty. Guests included the likes of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and Queen Sofia of Spain. Even the Hanoverian contingent, Prince Ernst August and Princess Ekaterina, made an appearance.
After all the regal mingling, the reception was held at the National Gymnastics Association, because where else would you celebrate the union of two people destined to produce more royals? Now, with baby Kimon joining the ranks, one can only imagine the future playdates.
