Phone with 10,000mAh battery charges other devices faster than most power banks

Realme's P4 Power does something practical: it solves the problem of being the person everyone asks to borrow a charger from.

The phone packs a 10,001-mAh battery—among the largest in any smartphone—and can reverse-charge your earbuds, smartwatch, or friend's phone at 27W. That's faster than many standalone power banks. Realme says it can push an iPhone 16 Pro to 50% battery in under 30 minutes.

Battery that actually lasts

The real appeal isn't just the size. It's the staying power. In light use, the phone stretches to 3.5 days between charges. That means charging it twice a week instead of daily, which matters if you're the type who forgets to plug in their phone or you're heading somewhere without reliable outlets—camping, road trips, remote work sites. Realme uses a silicon-carbon anode instead of traditional lithium-ion, which means the battery degrades more slowly. After four years, it should still hold over 80% of its capacity. At 219 grams (7.7 oz), it doesn't feel like you're carrying a brick. The 80W fast charging gets you half a day of power in five minutes, so even when you do need to top up quickly, you're not tethered to an outlet for long. There's also a bypass-charging mode that feeds power directly to the phone during gaming sessions, bypassing the battery entirely to avoid heat stress.

This is a budget-to-mid-range device—likely starting around $218 USD—which means the processor and camera won't be flagship-level. It's a phone built around one thing: not running out of power. The Dimensity D7400 Ultra chipset is solid for everyday use, but you're not getting the latest flagship performance.

Honor's Power2, which launched in China this month, does have a slightly larger 10,080-mAh battery and claims 20 hours of continuous use. But it may not reach global markets. The Realme P4 Power launches in India on January 29, and if the company follows its usual pattern, it should expand to other regions.
