The Spectrum rocket stands 28 meters tall and can haul up to 1,000 kilograms to low Earth orbit. The Space Race Heats Up (Again)

Isar isn't just celebrating; they're already churning out five more Spectrum rockets. They're also putting the finishing touches on a massive factory near Munich, which could potentially spit out 40 launch vehicles every year. And because one launchpad isn't enough, they're building another in Nova Scotia, Canada, to reach those prime orbits for Earth observation and communication satellites.

Stella Guillen, Isar's chief commercial officer, casually mentioned the company has about €10 billion ($11.6 billion) in potential deals. Let that satisfying number sink in. It seems the demand for getting stuff into space is, shall we say, robust.

So far, Isar has raised about €870 million ($1 billion) and snagged a €198 million ($230 million) contract from ESA's European Launcher Challenge.
