A Foldable (and Pricey) Future

Remember, the first iPhone arrived more than two decades after the very first cell phones.
The iPhone Duo opens like a book, revealing a generous 7.6-inch internal screen when unfolded, and a more modest 5.4-inch outer screen when closed. Its price tag? A cool $1,999. That's a hefty $700 more than the new entry-level iPhone 18 Pro, which was also announced. The Duo hits shelves on October 23rd, just in time for you to decide if your wallet can handle the future.
Both the Duo and the 18 Pro are being pitched as "intelligent personal hubs" thanks to built-in AI. A souped-up, AI-powered Siri personal assistant will be available in a beta version starting in October. Because apparently, your phone needed another way to know everything about you, now in a foldable format.
