The New York Knicks are one win away from their first NBA championship since 1973. They made a historic comeback in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 107-106. This win gives the Knicks a 3-1 lead in the series.
OG Anunoby scored the winning basket with 1.2 seconds left. He tipped in a missed 3-point shot from Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks were down by 29 points at one point, trailing 81-52 in the third quarter. They faced a 27-point deficit at halftime. No team in the NBA Finals had ever come back from more than 24 points down since detailed play-by-play records began in 1997.

The Spurs started strong, making 11 of their first 16 three-pointers. However, they went cold in the second half, hitting only 3 of 17 from beyond the arc. The Knicks outscored them 58-30 in the second half.
Spurs coach Mitch Johnson called the loss "disappointing." Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs' star, scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds but shot only 9 for 25 from the field. He also missed two crucial free throws late in the game.
The Knicks had their 13-game winning streak broken in Game 3. They seemed headed for another loss until their second-half surge.

The Knicks limited the Spurs to just 14 points in the third quarter. They shot 4 for 20 in that period. A 13-0 run helped the Knicks cut the lead to 90-75 by the fourth quarter.

Even after Stephon Castle put the Spurs back ahead with two free throws late in the game, the Knicks found a way to win. Dylan Harper scored 21 points for the Spurs. De’Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell each added 18 points.
Wembanyama noted the Spurs "weren't the most hungry in the second half." He faced a physical game, with Mitchell Robinson and Jose Alvarado both called for fouls against him. Wembanyama also received a flagrant foul.
