On September 2, the City of Kerrville, Texas, received an unusual call. A local healthcare worker heard a cat crying from inside their car engine.
The newborn kitten had traveled about 76 miles from Rocksprings, Texas. It had been riding inside the engine the whole way.
Hospital staff at Peterson Health removed the car's front grille to reach the kitten safely. Animal Control Officer James Lee helped with the rescue. The kitten was then given to Kerrville Pets Alive!
