Kelsey Pfendler started a journey of over 2,400 miles from Monterey, California, to Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 21. Her goal was to become the first American woman to row solo across this route. She also aimed to be the youngest and fastest woman to achieve this feat.
Pfendler finished her journey in just 43 days. This broke the previous women's record. She also beat the men's record of 52 days by more than a week, making her the fastest person of any gender to complete the solo row.
She arrived at Ala Wai Boat Harbor in Honolulu. Hundreds of people were there to welcome her.
