Country music legend Alan Jackson is about to hang up his touring hat, but if you missed out on tickets to his final, sold-out show, good news: your couch just became the best seat in the house.
Jackson's last live performance is slated for June 27, 2026, at Nashville's Nissan Stadium. Unsurprisingly, it vanished faster than a free beer at a tailgate. But because apparently, we can have nice things, NBC is swooping in to save the day with "Alan Jackson: The Last Show," a primetime special airing later this year and streaming on Peacock. Suddenly, everyone's invited to the farewell party.

Expect a deep dive into Jackson's monumental career, loaded with the kind of hits that make you want to drive a pickup truck through a field, even if you don't own one. Think "Chattahoochee," "Remember When," and "Gone Country." Basically, all the songs that defined a generation of country radio.

Start Your News DetoxJackson, who joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017, has always been a staunch defender of traditional country. He once recounted advice from the great George Jones: "Keep it country." A simple directive, but one Jackson clearly took to heart, right down to his signature cowboy hat.
He's vocal about his hope that younger artists will continue to champion the genre's roots, even if finding "real country music" on the radio these days feels a bit like a treasure hunt. Turns out, a lot of people are still listening, and thanks to a TV special, a whole lot more are about to get a front-row seat to one of its enduring legends.
