Shipping containers are basic metal boxes. But designers keep finding new ways to use them. The Luna Cottage is a great example. It turns a standard container into a cozy tiny house for two.
The Luna Cottage starts with a 20-foot (6-meter) shipping container. It has new doors and windows. It also has a fresh coat of paint. A second roof was added. This hides its industrial look and helps with insulation.
Outdoor and Indoor Living
The new roof creates shade on one side. On the other, it forms a nice porch. This porch adds a lot of outdoor living space. It has seating and a table. There's also a hot tub, a fire pit, and hanging chairs nearby.

The kitchen is a galley style. It has cabinets on both walls. It's set up for real cooking. It includes a sink, fridge/freezer, induction cooktop, and a microwave/oven/air-fryer combo. There's also a breakfast bar for two.
Further inside, you'll find the bathroom. It has a glass shower, a flushing toilet, and a vanity sink.
Next to the bathroom is the bedroom. Because it's a single-floor layout, there's plenty of headroom. It has a double bed and storage. There's also a second TV and another mini-split air conditioner.
The Luna Cottage is available for vacation rental in Ohio.
