On Monday night, celebrities and designers gathered for the Met Gala. This event marks the start of fashion's biggest night. It also raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York.
Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour are the 2026 Gala co-chairs. Lauren Sánchez Bezos is an honorary co-chair.

The exhibit features fashions from different centuries on various body types. These are shown alongside art objects from the Met's collections. Curator Andrew Bolton says the exhibition aims to connect "artistic representations of the body with fashion as an embodied art form."
