During Norway's first FIFA World Cup match against Iraq on June 17, a seismometer in Bergen recorded small vibrations. A clear signal appeared when Erling Haaland scored.
The instrument again picked up signals during Norway's 3–2 win over Senegal on June 22–23. These signals matched the times Norway scored goals.

The seismometer is in the basement of the Science Building in central Bergen. It can record ground vibrations as small as one millionth of a millimeter. A graph shows the signals from the station during the match.
