In Miami Beach, heavy rains and rising sea levels often lead to flooded streets. The city is now building parks to help manage this water. Bayshore Park, which opened last year, shows how nature and community spaces can work together.
Bayshore Park's Design
Savino & Miller Design Studio, a local landscape architecture firm, created the 19.4-acre green space. It used to be a golf course. Barry Miller, a landscape architect, noted the goal was to benefit both the community and the environment. The park offers various experiences, including natural areas, a playground, and tennis courts.
